MACFAST is owned and managed by the Corporate Educational Agency of the Catholic Archdiocese of Tiruvalla, with His Grace Most Rev. Thomas Mar Koorilos as the President and Patron. In the past 76 years this agency has contributed to the establishment of a large number of schools, colleges, hospitals, medical and paramedical institutions throughout the country.
The administration and the day today management of the College rests with the Principal, Rev. Dr. Abraham Mulamoottil assisted by Dr. P. K. Abraham, the Director, formerly Managing Editor and MD of Deepika and later, General Manager of FACT, and Rev. Fr. Pradeep Vazhatharamalayil, Vice Principal and Manager.
The overall academic and management leadership is given by an Academic Council headed by Padmavibushan Dr. M. S. Valiathan, as Chairman and a Board of Governors headed by Padmabhushan Dr. M. V. Pylee, Kerala's well-known educationalist and management Guru.

MACFAST (Mar Athanasios College for Advanced Studies Tiruvalla), Kerala, India, a post graduate and research institution, was established in 2001, with the aim of promoting professional and quality education to students with the specific objective of offering cutting edge courses in Business Management, Information Technology and Biosciences. With the commencement of MCA in 2001 and MBA & M. Sc Bioinformatics in 2002, MACFAST has been able to provide education in the primary areas of scientific and technological development. In the subsequent years, specialized courses in Biosciences have been introduced.
